/ Pyelonephritis - Urinary tract stone
- Prostatitis
- Menstruation (contaminating urine)
- Trauma

*Easily missed
Red flags
- Painless macroscopic haematuria
- Abdominal mass
- Unexplained microscopic haematuria > 50 years
- Recurrent UTI with haematuria > 40 years
- Past history of cancer
- Systemic features (weight loss, fever, fatigue, night sweats)
Investigations to consider
- FBC, CRP/ ESR,
- Clotting screen, U&Es
- Urinalysis, microscopy + culture
- ACR (Proteinuria)
- Urine cytology
- PSA
- KUB/IVU
- USS
- CT urogram
- Cystoscopy
- Angiography
- Renal biopsy
