- BP >180/120 + End-organ damage
- Pregnancy
- Headache
- Neurological symptoms
- Chest pain, Dyspnoea
- Proteinuria
- Age <30years
Investigations to consider
- 24 hr BP monitor
- Urinalysis (blood & protein)
- FBC, U&Es, Serum glucose, Lipids, TFTs
- ECG
- Echocardiogram
- Urinary catecholamines
- 24 hour Urine free cortisol
- Low-dose dexamethasone suppression test
- Plasma renin and aldosterone
- USS (+ Duplex Doppler of renal arteries)
- MRI/Renal angiography
- Renal biopsy
